Olympus Surgical & Industrial America has invested considerably in its facilities in Orangeburg, New York, and now employs over 300 people.

The company is responsible for the sales and marketing of the entire range of Olympus Remote Visual Inspection (RVI) and industrial microscope products throughout the United States, Canada and, for RVI, Latin America.

Our industrial team includes a number of individuals with immense experience in the varied applications of RVI, as well as the development, manufacture and repair of the equipment involved.

Olympus Industrial America is a separate operating division of Olympus Surgical & Industrial America, developing inspection techniques & applications and working with our R&D and manufacturing groups to design new systems to meet specific user requirements.

To improve the speed of response, the company has invested in a call management system which prioritizes customer enquiries above all other calls. All customer service associates are highly trained and have direct access to stock, delivery and pricing information, allowing most questions to be answered immediately.

Requests for literature and quotations are promptly sent and specifically targeted mailers and product information bulletins ensure customers are kept up-to-date with new product developments.

Olympus repair service is the only manufacturer-authorized service dealer for Olympus medical products in the United States. With 18 locations nationwide, including our 80,000-square-foot national service headquarters in San Jose, California, we are able to quickly provide comprehensive repair services on all Olympus medical equipment with factory-approved parts, materials and repair processes.

The efficiency of these departments allows instruments to be serviced, repaired and returned in the shortest possible time, with minimal inconvenience to the customer.

Olympus Surgical & Industrial America has always recognized the benefits of maintaining a high profile at exhibitions and seminars throughout the Americas. Exhibition stands are designed in liaison with external consultants, ensuring each product is displayed to its best advantage.

Communicating the features and benefits of the company’s products in the most effective way is the responsibility of the group’s own design studio. This department designs and produces all the company’s product literature, press releases and other sales support and public relations material, maintaining a high profile for Olympus Surgical & Industrial America’s corporate image.

Olympus Surgical & Industrial America believes that training is key to getting the best out of equipment, and offer customer training courses in the use, care and maintenance of its products, either at its in-house training facilities or at the customer’s site. With this background, Olympus Surgical & Industrial America was delighted to welcome His Royal Highness, The Prince Edward The Earl of Wessex, to formally open our Customer Education Center. On Wednesday April 9, 2003 – named the Wessex Center in his honor. The Wessex Center enables us to better serve our customers in the United States, utilizing the custom built 100 seat Lecture Theater Complex, breakout training rooms, video conferencing suite and hands-on product display areas, which are in constant use for both customer and staff training, as well as being the venue for international industrial seminars.
